This mandala was created to honor and assist you with your emotional transition from a state filled with fear to a state filled with wisdom. To work with this mandala, we suggest you do the following. Center yourself within your heart and take several deep breaths into and out of your heart, as if your heart had a nose. Breathe deeply into the lower area of your lungs and feel your body release tension from wherever you are holding it.
As you feel yourself begin to relax, say the following affirmation out loud three times, "I release the fear of _________ [whatever fear is in your consciousness at the time] from my physical, emotional, mental and etheric bodies. I AM filled with wisdom, courage, trust and unconditional love." As you work with this mandala, allow yourself to be open and merge with the positive qualities that will naturally replace the old fears which no longer serve you for your highest good.
If you will trust yourself and allow the process to evolve, you will be pleasantly surprised to find there is less and less space allocated to the old fears that had been so prevalent. Your body wants to be whole and healthy and rid itself of fear which acts like an obstacle to your own spiritual growth. Using the mandalas is a natural evolution in that process.
The artist's comments regarding creation of the Owl Wisdom Mandala
Early one morning I found a small brown owl trapped behind the glass doors of my fireplace. She must have sought the chimney heat during the night and fallen to the bottom. While trying to keep the glass doors mostly shut, I reached through a crack wide enough to let only my arm through. The small brown owl fluttered in fear to the rear of the fireplace, just out of my reach. I talked to her, soothed her, promised her freedom if she would allow me to pick her up. The small brown owl fluttered again to the rear.
At some point within this little creature's being, owl fear became owl wisdom, her true nature. She trusted the big gloved hand that closed around her feathers as she clung to the front screen just behind the glass. What moved this frightened little owl to trust and let go of her fear? I gently carried her outside. She flew off to the west an owl's rite of passage to her heritage of wisdom.
